Join your colleagues and advocate for the veterinary profession. Your legislators need to speak to the experts in animal welfare.
The MVMA is in need of veterinarians and veterinary students to make personal visits to their legislators to help protect our profession and their patients. The goal is at least 50 veterinarians (5 from each district).
Watch this VIDEO of past attendees and get their opinions of the importance of veterinarians being at the Capitol.
The MVMA is now offering the "buddy system!" Have you ever wanted to attend but didn't feel comfortable talking with your legislator alone? No need to worry because you can choose for the MVMA to partner you with one of the veterinarians in attendance that have done this before. Then, as a team, you would call on your legislators together. What better way is there to learn, have fun, and get involved? Also, we'll have a morning of "How To" discussion (2 hours CE) to make you feel comfortable when calling on your legislators.
Not only is the day at the Capitol important to your livelihood and profession, it's a great way to spend the day with a colleague and meet someone who just may influence your future.
View the "Tool Kit" which contains talking points, photos and bios for your specific legislators,
